Since October, the vessels of CMA CGM, the third shipping Group in the world and the first in France, scour the planet so that for Christmas, all the tables in the world are supplied with the most famous and festive French products. In Montreal, New York, Sydney or Shanghai, bottles of Champagne and Cognac, cheeses, chocolates and French perfumes will be on Christmas Eve menu or at the bottom of the Christmas tree. More than 15 000 tons of festive products among which one third are luxury goods, will be found around the world, thanks to CMA CGM vessels. ·         Containers loaded with the most famous perfume brands have already left Le Havre in early November on CMA CGM Columba for a 48-days journey to Yantian in China through Beirut, Jeddah, Port Kelang, Singapore, Tianjin Xingang, Dalian, Busan, Qingdo and Shanghai. ·         40 teus refrigerated containers filled with French cheeses and chocolate arrived in Montreal on November 17 aboard CMA CGM MONTREAL. ·         Containers with bottles of Cognac arrived in New York City in mid-November, aboard CMA CGM CORCOVADO. The ship is now on his way to the southern hemisphere where it will unload other bottles of the famous spirits in Melbourne and Sydney, in Australia. These products travel either in conventional containers called "dry" or, for the most fragile products, refrigerated containers called "Reefers". Thanks to an advanced technology that combines control of temperature and humidity, the Reefers containers allow the chocolate truffles as well as the bottles of wine or of Champagne to keep all their taste and qualities until Christmas Eve dinner.
