FEDAGSA, the Federation of Airline General Sales Agents, is timing its 2008 AGM to allow some 100 GSA executives from more than 25 countries to also participate in TIACA's Air Cargo Forum & Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur (November 4-6).

This follows the decision by the WCA Family of Logistics Networks to schedule its regional meeting in Malaysia in November, a move that will see a further 300 international and regional freight forwarders participating in the TIACA event.

Glenn Shires, General Secretary of FEDAGSA, said: 'This is the first time we have organized an AGM in the Asia region. There is clear synergy between these two events and we see considerable added value for our members in enabling them to also take part in the TIACA conference and exhibition during a single business trip. The huge economic growth potential of this region cannot be under-estimated. FEDAGSA and TIACA are giving GSAs a real opportunity to transact business together and to network with customers, prospects and other key suppliers.'

FEDAGSA puts particular emphasis on air cargo services and sales and seeks to ensure a modern, professional and well-informed network of GSAs is on hand to satisfy airlines' requirements while keeping its members current of developments to better anticipate the future needs of carriers.

Launched 12 years ago, the Association now boasts over 150 member organizations globally.

Daniel Fernandez, TIACA's Secretary General, stated: 'We look forward to welcoming FEDAGSA's members from around the world to our Air Cargo Forum. The Association's decision to work with us is timely because we will have a record number of airlines exhibiting at ACF2008 with 59 already committed to the event. The decision of these airlines, FEDAGSA and the WCA Family of Logistics Networks to be in Kuala Lumpur in November reinforces the view that TIACA's ACF provides the best opportunity for industry leaders to network and do business together.'
