Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) has acknowledged AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) as its largest international air cargo carrier at Frankfurt Airport in 2014 in the company’s annual ceremony to honour its top cargo carriers. This is the fifth consecutive year that ABC has held onto its strong position at Europe’s largest cargo airport and one of the world's top 10 cargo hubs.  As is the annual tradition, Fraport presented AirBridgeCargo with a Hessisch Bembel, a jug used for the famous Hessian apple wine. The airline's total cargo traffic handled in the first 11 months of 2014 to and from Frankfurt/Main rose by 6% year-on-year to over 114,000 tonnes, the highest amount of any airline other than the national carrier.
Robert Van de Weg, ABC’s Vice President, Sales & Marketing, said: “Europe has always been one of the key strategic markets for ABC and it has contributed greatly to our development. Frankfurt is one of the main gateways for us in Europe and we have recently added a further three frequencies to/from Frankfurt in our winter schedule to support customer demand for our services. We will continue to strengthen our position in Frankfurt and on the European market by giving our customers an enhanced choice of reliable point-to-point air cargo services.” ABC currently operates 17 weekly flights from Frankfurt/Main to Asia and the United States through its hub in Moscow.
