Freight train derails in Wilson County, North Carolina

Wilson County, N.C. - Authorities said three cars from a freight train derailed in Kenly, NC around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday morning. The train was traveling from Rocky Mount to Florence, S.C.
N.C. Highway 581 was blocked near the Newsome Mill Road intersection until 11:30 a.m
According to officials, 2 of the train cars spilled coal and were taken off the rails, and a third car only had few wheels off the tracks.
Cleanup crews are on the scene and no injuries have been reported.
