HOUSTON - Gorilla Safety, provider of an innovative, proprietary and patented software solution that fully automates all aspects of fleet and safety management, announced today that Shannon McLeroy has been promoted to chief operating officer. He had been serving as director of sales, since joining the company in July 2016. In this newly created role, McLeroy oversees all aspects of day-to-day operations for the Company as well as its sales initiatives. The position was created to aid Gorilla Safety in its future growth and expansion. McLeroy has more than 20 years of experience in the information technology business development arena. For the past year, he led sales for Gorilla Safety, helping to bolster growth, and taking the company from startup to a key player in mobile fleet and safety management. Before joining Gorilla Safety last year, McLeroy led the Houston office of Innovative Management Solutions Inc., a Dallas-based IT management company, where he oversaw a range of scalable projects using the company’s IT solutions, talent and resources. He also was a relationship manager at SMBology, Inc. in Houston, an IT firm offering strategic consulting, user experience design and application development. Earlier, McLeroy founded ClearWorks, a Houston-based technology product development company. As the chief operating officer of ClearWorks, he ran day-to-day operations, growing the company from a startup to $32.5 million in revenue with 250 employees in four cities, before merging the entity he had taken public and sold to Eagle Wireless. “We are fortunate to have someone of Shannon’s expertise on our management team.
