Hapag-Lloyd announces changes to the Abidjan Terminal Handling Charges (THC)

Hapag-Lloyd will apply a Terminal Handling Charge effective June 5, 2016.
Following the significant increase of operational cost by Abidjan Terminal, Hapag-Lloyd is forced to apply a Terminal Handling Charge effective June 5, 2016 (load date / discharge date) to recover these operational cost.
Hapag-Lloyd will separate the ocean freight from port charges with the introduction of this auxiliary surcharge, payable in Abidjan at import and export at the following levels:
Dry Container: EUR 115/150 per 20'/40'
Reefer Container: EUR 165/200 per 20'/40'
Special Equipment (open top / flat, etc.): EUR 170/210 per 20'/40'
The charge will be subject to VAT according to local law.
