Hapag-Lloyd will consolidate their present services from North Europe to South America East Coast. The new ECX Service is planned to commence on September 27, 2017 in Rotterdam, Netherlands with the southbound departure of M/V “TBN” - voyage 701S. The new ECX Service, covering the major markets in North Europe and East Coast South America, will be a weekly service with fixed scheduled arrivals and departures. Hapag-Lloyd will become a major vessel provider in this trade and will operate four out of nine modern and homogeneous vessels with a capacity of approx. 9,000 TEU and 1,325 reefer plugs each. The market coverage offered by the new ECX Service will be amongst the best in this trade, with mainly direct connections and highly competitive transit times in both directions.
