Effective from October 6, 2016 Hapag-Lloyd will revise the Import and Export Detention and Demurrage Tariff for all shipments as follows: Detention
Remarks:
  • Counting: Calendar days (Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays are fully countable)
  • Special containers are reefer, Open Top, Hard Top, Bulk, Flats, and Platforms.
  • Export Detention Calculation: (Charge code: MHO)
  • Free time shall commence from the first midnight following shipper or his agent removes containers from carrier CY (gate out empty) to laden return to carrier CY.
  • Import Detention Calculation: (Charge code: MHD)
  • Equipment free time shall commence at midnight after removal of the carrier’s equipment from carrier’s terminal (gate out full) to empty return to carrier CY.
Demurrage
Remarks:
  • Counting: Calendar days (Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays are fully countable)
  • Special containers are reefer, Open Top, Hard Top, Bulk, Flats, and Platforms.
  • Import Demurrage calculation (Charge Code: DMD and DID)
  • Free time shall commence from the container discharged from vessel to laden pick up from Terminal. For shipment trucked to carrier inland CY, free time shall commence from the last container gated in carrier CY to laden pick-up from carrier CY.
  • Export Demurrage calculation (Charge Code: DMO and DIO)
  • Free time shall commence after the stuffed container is returned to carrier’s CY to vessel cut-off day at carrier’s CY.
