On its first journey from the Far East to Europe the containership new building, "Hyundai Shanghai' visited the Port of Hamburg at the HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder. The new container vessel is being operated by the shipping consortium New World Alliance in its 'AEX Service.' Its keel was laid down by the groups' own shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea. 'Hyundai Shanghai' is a 6,500 teu vessel with 60 262 tdw maximum loading capacity. The new building belongs to a series of five more vessels that will be brought into service later this year.

After being serviced at CTA the 26-knot ship will be calling at the Ports of Rotterdam, Thamesport and Le Havre.

It will then be returning to the Far East. Port rotation will be: Kwangyang, Busan, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Thamesport, Le Havre, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung.
