Ideal Logistics Group (Ideal) is pleased to announce the opening of their own facilities in Chicago and San Francisco. The new locations will serve a dual purpose of facilitating their cross border service to and from Canadian points and their mid-west Interstate LTL service. Ideal will be utilizing Chicago as a distribution hub for U.S. markets. San Francisco will serve as a gateway for offshore goods landing at the Los Angeles port for furtherance to the U.S. mid-west and Canada. Ideal is a SmartWay partner and meets all the stringent emission regulations for carriers operating in the California market. Running a dry van fleet, Ideal uses single and team drivers with a concentration on LTL for the Chicago market and both LTL and truckload for California shipment requirements.  For added capacity and coverage intermodal service is also utilized for their Interstate service offering. Ideal locations in Toronto and Montreal combined with points along the 401 corridor represent a high percentage of their Canadian activity. All their facilities run a 24/7 operation to heighten customer service and respond expeditiously to emergency requirements. According to President and CEO, Harry Pannu, “We chose Chicago and San Francisco for multiple reasons, not the least of which is access to a quality driving pool. Chicago is a great location for both highway and intermodal LTL distribution. California is a pivotal shipping point as well with the southern California ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach being the unquestioned leader in tonnage activity.”
