INTTRA, the leading e-commerce platform for the ocean freight industry, has announced the opening of its new office, INTTRA Germany GmbH, in Hamburg, Germany. This office will provide enhanced services and support to its customers and carriers in the European region.

As the largest e-commerce platform in the industry today, INTTRA is now serving over 3500 customers in Europe alone, with volume growth increasing by over 20% from 2009 to 2010. Located in one of the economic centers of European commerce, the Hamburg office will give the company's commercial teams greater access to its customers and carriers in the area.

"In addition to the city's long history of economic strength, Hamburg has evolved into the shipping capital of the European region," said Hans Meindorfner, General Manager, Europe & North Africa, INTTRA. "The opening of the Hamburg office will give INTTRA the infrastructure needed to drive product innovation and further the adoption of e-commerce in the area."

To celebrate the new Hamburg office, INTTRA's Vice President, Commercial, John DeBenedette will lead the opening ceremony on May 26, followed by a welcome reception for over 50 guests, including INTTRA employees, partners and regional customers. Representatives from ABS Capital Partners, who recently invested $30 million in INTTRA, will be among the attendees.
