Johor Port bags Industry Excellence Award 2016

Kuala Lumpur – Johor Port Berhad a member of MMC Group bagged the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Industri (AKI) or Industry Excellence Award for service sector under category 4 (sales turnover of more than RM100 million) at the recent 2016 AKI Award Presentation Ceremony. AKI was first introduced by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) in 1991 to recognise outstanding Malaysian companies and to encourage continuous improvement in products and services rendered. Over the years, AKI has built its reputation as the nation’s premier corporate recognition award. The event also brought together members from various Manufacturing and Services sectors and to recognise these companies’ valuable contribution and achievements.  Johor Port Berhad was recognised for its Port's contribution as well as for its role and achievement in applying Malaysia’s Business Excellence Framework in its organisation. YBhg Tan Sri Dato' Wira Syed Abdul Jabbar Syed Hassan, MMC Group Advisor together with En Shahrull Allam Shah Bin Abdul Halim, CEO of Johor Port Berhad received the award on behalf of Johor Port Berhad at the event.
