This year’s Schiphol Aviation Award for Cargo has been presented to Kales Airline Services B.V, in recognition of its fundamental role in the development of cargo at Schiphol. Kales Airline Services B.V. established in 1994,  is a GSSA company which represents 95 airlines at the airport. Maarten de Groof, Executive Vice President & CCO of Schiphol Group, presented the award to Peter Kales, at a ceremony held at Schiphol’s The Base. Speaking after the event, Schiphol Cargo Snr VP Enno Osinga commented: “We are delighted to add Kales to the distinguished line-up of past winners of this award, in recognition of their enthusiastic promotion of carriers serving our airport. “The fact that our annual awards include a category dedicated to cargo is a clear indication of the top-down importance we place in all forms of logistics activity at and around our airport.” The Schiphol Aviation Awards are presented annually to business partners who have distinguished themselves over the previous year through their innovative business operations or positive performance.  Other award winners this year were: Operational Excellence Award: easyJet and Menzies Aviation Efficiency Award: KLM Sustainability Award: ArkeFly Passenger Airline of the Year Award – Europe: Transavia Passenger Airline of the Year Award – Intercontinental: Garuda Indonesia
