nasair currently flies twice weekly from Istanbul to Jeddah, and daily to Riyadh (from Istanbul on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; on other days from Adana), using A320 aircraft. From its twin hubs of Jeddah and Riyadh, nasair operates over 950 flights per week to and from 88 domestic and international destinations throughout the Middle East.  Says Kargosistem Chairman Demir Ozerman: “We are delighted to work with our long-standing strategic partners Heavyweight in promoting this exciting young carrier. “Initially we plan to concentrate on the nasair services to Jeddah and Ryadh. Once these are established in the Turkish cargo market, we will turn our attention to transhipment opportunities throughout  nasair’s growing network; particularly interesting are the services to Dubai, Beirut, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Amman. “Although the A320 aircraft have limited capacity and are bulk-loaded, we see good potential for commodities such as textiles, leather products, small furniture and household goods.” Launched in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in February 2007, nasair has transported more than 12 million passengers on over 110,000 flights to date. Its fleet of 25 aircraft is thought to be the youngest in the region, and includes B747s, A320s, and Embraer 190/195s. A further 21 aircraft are currently on order. Kargosistem was established in 1996. It has offices in Istanbul (downtown and airport), and operates a regional sales team which covers all main markets in Turkey. Kargosistem operates regular, bonded road feeders to serve the Adana and Gaziantep markets. Kargosistem represents Aerosurlog (CSA), Air Transat, AV Airlines, Coyne Airways, DHL Aviation, Kenya Airways and Olympic Air; the group also acts as Turkish sub-GSA for eleven other offline carriers. In May 2013, it was named “GSSA of the Year” in the prestigious Cargo Airline of the Year awards.
