Clipper Group’s partner and co-CEO Kristian Morch, has accepted a position as CEO of Oddfjell SE and will therefore leave Clipper Group. Gary Vogel will take on the responsibility as sole CEO of Clipper Group. Since 2013, Kristian Morch and Gary Vogel have been joint CEOs of Clipper Group and constituted the Executive Management team together, along with Flemming Steen, CFO. Kristian joined Clipper in 2011 as CEO of Clipper Projects and headed the merger of Clipper Projects and Thorco Shipping in 2013. He has since then been in charge of Clipper’s supportive businesses of Ro-ro (Seatruck Ferries) and Ferries (Danske Færger). During the last number of years, Clipper has consolidated its business around Clipper Bulk, which is now the Group’s core segment, supported by the strong complementary businesses of Ro-ro and Ferries. “Kristian Morch has been with Clipper for more than four years, and he has had a very strong partnership with Gary Vogel as joint CEOs. However, with Bulk being the core segment and focus of Clipper going forward, and Clipper Bulk being led by Gary, Kristian has found the timing right to pursue new challenges outside the Group,” says Frank G. Jensen, Partner & Chairman of the Board of Clipper Group. “I would like to personally thank Kristian for his great contribution in developing Clipper into the strong and competitive company that we have today.” Kristian Morch will stay on in Clipper for a transition period before commencing his work at Oddfjell, though he is no longer a Partner of Clipper Group.
