Lan Cargo has appointed Federico Germani as its Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Germani is responsible for optimizing the efficiency and operating performance of the company, including managing cargo-related airport operations, ensuring the network efficiency of the freighter fleet and optimizing the utilization of the large belly and freighter capacity throughout the network. Mr. Germani is based at Lan Cargo's headquarters at Miami International Airport.

'Mr. Germani's deep operational and strategic experience in international markets together with his outstanding leadership skills have been key assets in delivering Lan Cargo's impressive results,' said Cristian Ureta, Lan Cargo's Chief Executive Officer.

With more than 15 years of experience in international business, Mr. Germani worked with IBM, Goldman Sachs and McKinsey &Co prior to joining LAN. Mr. Germani joined Lan Cargo as Vice President of Planning and most recently was Sr. Vice President for Lan Cargo's global operations.

He earned an Industrial Engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
