LATAM to increase connectivity between the U.S. and the northeast of Brazil with two new routes: Orlando to Fortaleza and Miami to Salvador de Bahia. Miami -  LATAM Airlines Group announced its plans to increase connectivity between the northeast of Brazil and the United States with new non-stop routes from Orlando to Fortaleza and Miami to Salvador de Bahia. The airline also plans to increase the number of flights on its existing routes from Miami to Fortaleza and Recife.  Subject to regulatory approval, the flights will commence in the first half of 2018. “LATAM is pleased to bring the United States and Brazil even closer," said Pablo Chiozza, Senior VP of the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Asia of LATAM Airlines Group. "The addition of the Orlando-Rio de Janeiro route earlier this year and the recent announcement of Boston as a new LATAM gateway to São Paulo are predecessors to these additional flights and frequencies. Business relations as well as cultural and leisure travel between the U.S. and Brazil are top priorities for LATAM, and we are proud to play such a significant role in their development.” Details regarding LATAM’s new international operations, including availability for booking, will be communicated in the coming months following the approval of the corresponding authorities.
