Lone Star Overnight, a Texas-based regional overnight package delivery company, has announced that its 2011 published rates will continue to be significantly below those of national package carriers for its priority products.

Thanks in part to ongoing investments in technology and operational improvements, Lone Star Overnight is able to offer rates that are up to 30 percent less than those of the leading national carriers.

'We recognize that in this challenging economy, our ability to have lower published rates is welcome news to shippers throughout our service area of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico,' said Lone Star Overnight's CEO Rick Jones. 'We're proud to continue our long-standing commitment to providing reliable, efficient regional overnight delivery service at a lower price than the competition.'

In early January, Lone Star Overnight will also introduce a new pricing option that matches the leading national competitors' published rates for the equivalent 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. overnight services with no pickup fees, residential delivery fees, extended delivery fees or fuel surcharges.
