This winter Lufthansa Cargo will operate its first all-freighter service to Israel. From 28 October,
Europe's leading cargo carrier will connect Israel's second-largest city, Tel Aviv, with its Frankfurt
hub.

The MD-11 freighter service from Frankfurt will depart in the evening on Tuesdays, Wednesdays
and Sundays and in the late morning on Fridays. The return flight will be operated on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Sundays via Istanbul. Friday is the only day on which a non-stop service from
Tel Aviv to Frankfurt will be operated.

With this new service, Lufthansa Cargo is significantly expanding its presence in the Israeli market.
Never before have customers had such a large choice of flights. This winter, in addition to the
freighter flights operated by Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines will offer 37 flights a
week to their hubs at Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, as well as to D'sseldorf and Berlin. The
Group airline Swiss will operate 14 flights a week from Tel Aviv to Zurich.

Pharmaceutical products are a key driver of Israel's export industry, the main market for them
being the United States of America. Israel's major imports from Germany include engineering
products, machinery and automotive components.
