Maersk has made the following changes to both of the MECL services: MECL1 To more closely align with your supply chain needs, Maersk Line has adjusted the MECL 1 service schedule to improve our berthing windows. Our Newark arrival window will now be on Mondays and the Newark departure window will be on Wednesdays. This change is effective immediately with the westbound Maersk Memphis voyage 1410 which arrives in Newark on September 15th. The first eastbound vessel with the improved windows is the Maersk Memphis voyage 1411, departing Newark on September 24th. As a result of the berthing changes, export shipments from the U.S. East Coast on the MECL 1 Service will arrive at destination 2 days later than today’s schedule. Import shipments to the U.S. and Canada will arrive 2 days faster. MECL2 The MECL 2 service schedule will also be modified as a result of the above improvement. Our North America import arrival windows will now be 18 hours later and the export departure windows will be advanced by 18 hours. This change is effective immediately with the westbound Maersk Idaho voyage 1408 which arrives in Newark on September 17th. The first eastbound vessel with the improved windows is the Maersk Idaho voyage 1409, departing Houston on September 25th. As a result of the berthing changes, export shipments on the MECL 2 Service will arrive at destination 18 hours faster than today’s schedule. Import shipments on the MECL2 will arrive 18 hours later than today’s schedule.
