NAVFAC Pacific has selected Moffatt & Nichol for the Waterfront Design Support Contract for infrastructure upgrades to their waterfront facilities on Guam and other locations in their Area of Responsibility (AOR). This complex effort to extensively upgrade waterfront infrastructure will ready their facilities for the relocation of 8,000 Marine Corps personnel and their 9,000 dependents, plus associated Navy waterfront assets including a new CVN wharf in Apra Harbor.

The competitively procured indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, with a maximum $100 million, is to provide design support services for various waterfront/marine projects covered by the Defense Policy Review Initiative and other projects in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific area of responsibility (AOR).

The work to be performed provides for project engineering documentation, DD 1391s, Design-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) contract documents or Design Bid Build RFP contract documents, technical reports, studies, construction cost estimates, and construction consultation and geotechnical investigations as required for design, analysis and studies.

Additionally, support services may include post-construction award services, construction surveillance and inspection services, operational and maintenance support information services, and other miscellaneous post-construction award services.
