MOL bulker C.S. Sunshine rescues 24 seafarers from disabled freighter west of Guam

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has announced that its operated coal carrier C. S. Sunshine, while steaming some 700km west of Guam on January 20, rescued all 24 Chinese crewmembers of a disabled freighter.
The rescue details are as follows:
At 8:15 on January 20 (all times are local), the C.S. Sunshine, which departed Newcastle, Australia, bound for Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, received a distress signal from a Panama-flagged freighter that had lost power. The C.S. Sunshine immediately altered course and made for the distressed vessel at all possible speed.
15:40 on January 20, 24 Chinese crewmembers were successfully rescued.
10:45 on January 22, all rescued crewmembers were transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard.
