1st Corporation to Provide Large-scale Ocean Transport for SFT Programs TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) today announced that it has provided voluntary transport service of sporting goods to Ghana as a consortium member of the international contribution program “Sports For Tomorrow (SFT)”. MOL transported a total of 11,538 items, such as soccer shoes, which were collected by other SFT consortium members: the general incorporated association Enije, ASICS Corporation, Japan Table Tennis Association, Ritsumeikan University Department of Industrial Sociology, and other organizations, corporate partners, and individuals. The donated items were shipped from the Japan Sports Council, an independent administrative institution that serves as SFT secretariat, and arrived in Ghana at the end of August, and then donated to the organizer and participants of a sports event through Enije. MOL is the first ocean shipping company to provide large-scale support for SFT programs. MOL continually takes a proactive stance in social contribution activities that are unique to an ocean shipping company with a global network.
