Let’s forge ahead to further enhance safe operation under ‘One MOL’ as a global team.” Senior Managing Executive Officer Masaaki Nemoto, who also serves as Director General of Safety Operations Headquarters, and many other MOL executives and staff members also participated in the conferences. They made presentations on “lessons from previous incidents,” “preventing fires onboard,” and other themes, hosted group discussions among seafarers and executives of MOL group ship management and manning companies on ways to improve safety, and actively exchanged opinions with them about “safe operation moving forward.” Since 2007, the ‘MOL Safety Conference’ has been held annually in the group's major seafarer source nations with the main objectives of explaining measures to enhance the safety of MOL Group operations and exchanging opinions with seafarers around the world. MOL continues its efforts to become "the world leader in safe operation" through those activities.
