Bringing more than 20 years experience in business development, James Nash recently accepted the position of Trade Development Representative for Port Freeport.

Nash is the Houston-based sales representative for the Port and responsible for calling customs brokers, freight forwarders, shippers, agents and carriers. His years of experience in maritime administration, management, sales and marketing, and an array of numerous other job responsibilities make Nash a good fit for the position.

“Port Freeport has some exciting expansions planned for the short and long term, and I am happy to help with that new growth,” Nash said. “Port Freeport is customer-focused and I am honored to be part of the team.”

A life-long resident of Alvin, Texas, Nash received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 20 years and have two children, Jake and Haley.  When Nash isn’t busy with his church, Boy Scouts and his children’s school activities, he enjoys a round of golf from time to time.
