The air cargo industry has a new charter specialist which uniquely pledges only to deal with freight forwarders.

Neo Air Charter has been launched by Adnan Duran (former Director of Business Development for Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Group), as Managing Partner. He is supported by a highly-experienced team of experts in aviation, airfreight and chartering, also well-known in the charter sector.

Neo is based in Frankfurt, and is already planning to open offices at other strategic charter gateways around the world. The company also has established service partners in Singapore and USA, and will be adding to these in the coming months.

In January, the Neo team's pool of knowledge and experience will be further enhanced when they are joined by Stefan Kohlmann (currently Managing Director, Chapman Freeborn Germany), as the company's Joint Managing Partner. Kohlmann is one of the best-known faces in air charter, with over 20 years' experience in the business.

Adnan Duran says, 'With the launch of Neo Air Charter, we have fully recognised and respect the role of the freight agent as an essential link in the supply chain. For that reason, we will only accept enquiries and instructions from freight forwarders and logistics intermediaries. We believe that is a unique proposition in air charter.'

Neo is fully operational, and has already fixed a number of charters for well-known forwarders. The company will work exclusively through freight agents, serving all charter markets including automotive, relief, ships' spares, AOG, military, projects, oil and gas, power generation, and livestock and bloodstock. Neo's staff are also very experienced in arranging the efficient movement of support personnel - such as rescue workers, engineers, technicians and grooms - related to cargo charter movements.

Duran continues, 'After many years in the charter industry, each member of the Neo team enjoys long-standing and close relations with key carriers. The charter business is more than anything about people, and we feel we have the best. We can handle any kind of business, for any type of aircraft from a single engine Cessna to the An-225, to or from anywhere in the world. Our offices and those of our partners are manned around the clock, so time differences will present no problems. But, above all, we believe that it is our promise of commercial neutrality that will really win the support of freight agents.'
