New Penn Motor Express and USF Reddaway have announced the introduction of a new transcontinental service. The Westbound service will make it easier for customers to gain coast-to-coast coverage with one call to their regional provider: It links New Penn operations in the Northeast with USF Reddaway operations in the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountains. New Penn and USF Reddaway are subsidiaries of YRC Regional Transportation, a unit of YRC Worldwide Inc.

'Our Northeast customers need fast service to the West,' said Steve Gast, President of New Penn. 'With this service, we can provide three-day delivery to the Rocky Mountain States, and four-day delivery to most points beyond.'

The transcontinental service continues a partnership that has proven successful, according to Ed Fitzgerald, President of USF Reddaway.

'USF Reddaway has been offering an Eastbound service using New Penn since October 2005,' said Fitzgerald. 'Together, we provide our customers with the coast-to-coast coverage they want and the service quality they count on.'

Jim Staley, President and CEO of YRC Regional Transportation, says the partnership approach among the company's providers can deliver faster transit times, improved reliability and superior service quality.

'With this offering, customers can leverage the strengths of two 'best-in-class' transportation providers,' said Staley. 'USF Reddaway and New Penn are industry leaders in service reliability and claim-free performance. This is a partnership that works for our customers.'

YRC Regional Transportation is comprised of USF Holland, USF Reddaway, USF Bestway, USF Glen Moore and New Penn.
