New service provides full origin-to-destination visibility for shipments between the US and Mexico.

National Logistics Management (NLM) is now offering its customers a new truckload thru-service providing true door-to-door visibility, including customs activity, for cross-border shipments between the US and Mexico.

The customs process is a crucial step for any cross-border shipment ' one in which visibility has been traditionally difficult to provide. NLM now tracks shipments between the US and Mexico through the actual border crossing process, which includes several steps during customs inspection that could potentially delay a shipment. Using its award-winning technology coupled with the expertise of its Logistics Specialists, NLM can identify and assess any potential conflicts in the shipment process, notify the customer and develop solutions in anticipation of the customer's needs.

'NLM is constantly looking for new ways to provide valuable services in anticipation of customer needs,' said Greg Humes, president, NLM. 'The new Mexico thru-service is testimony to our continued commitment in providing the most comprehensive shipment options for our customers. Full visibility is not a luxury ' it's a necessity, and we are excited to offer this service to our customers.'

Increasing demand for reliable Mexico thru-service prompted NLM to develop this service. NLM's proven track record with critical and dynamic shipments combined with the level of visibility, supply chain data intelligence and cost savings the new thru-service provides has produced overwhelmingly positive client reaction. NLM successfully completed its initial thru shipment in January.

The service expansion is part of the NLM's proactive approach to offering clients a diverse suite of transportation management and software solutions.

This added service offering further demonstrates NLM's commitment to the development and improvement of innovative technology that has driven the company to consistent growth in a demanding industry and challenging carrier environment.
