HYDERABAD, India - FreightBazaar launches a new feature for its revolutionary platform for the trucking industry. Now, customers can access FreightBazaar from any mobile without having any Internet connection.  This is first-of-its-kind in Indian e-commerce industry. In India, thousands of trucks run empty every day in search of load for their return journey. Take an example of Ashok, a truck driver who has driven from Delhi to Bangalore for delivery of a material. After delivering the material in Bangalore, he, along with the truck owner, starts his search for a return load for his journey back to Delhi. Ashok visits many transport hubs and contacts many transport brokers in hopes of finding a contracted load.  The sooner he finds the load, faster Ashok will be able to return to Delhi and will get to spend some time with his family before his next road trip. One of the challenges of the transportation industry is that many of its stakeholders do not have access to the Internet. Many truck owners, transporters and drivers either do not have smartphones or they are continuously on the move.  Therefore, they cannot access the FreightBazaar platform, which was created for addressing the needs of truck suppliers and truck users.  Now, with this new feature, drivers like Ashok and their truck owners can search for loads from any where through any phone without Internet. They can transact on FreightBazaar seamlessly. No smartphone is required. No data connection is required.  “With the launch of this feature, we are removing one of the major bottlenecks in the industry. There is no constraint of Internet connection anymore. The app is very simple and even drivers can access it now,” says Ganesh Rewanwar, Co-founder & CEO, FreightBazaar.com.   Registered customers have to dial *248*1155# to access FreightBazaar platform. Once the app starts, customers can login to their account and start transacting. All that a customer needs is a mobile phone - basic mobile phone or smartphone.  FreightBazaar also has an Android App called mTrux, which smartphone users can download from Google Playstore.  “Truck suppliers can search for available loads and submit quotations. We shall be adding more features shortly after the launch of our new upcoming website,” says Bhaven Shah, Co-Founder & COO, FreightBazaar.com. ” Currently, Airtel and Uninor customers can use this service. We will be adding other operators soon.”
