Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. today completed a significant renovation to its Chattanooga Service Center that will allow the company to enhance its LTL (less-than-truckload) services in East Tennessee. The overhauled facility includes a 40 percent expansion to the loading dock and a renovated office for administrative employees. The company employs 92 people in Chattanooga, including drivers, sales representatives, dock workers, mechanics and administrative employees. Positioned near Interstates 75 and 24, the facility is a key location within Old Dominion’s nationwide network of more than 220 service centers. The company also helps support the region’s strong manufacturing and utilities industries.  “Much like the Chattanooga economy, Old Dominion has experienced significant growth since we opened our first service center here nearly 30 years ago,” said Dennis Potts, the service center manager. “This renovation will allow us to build upon current business levels and better enables us to deliver the premium service customers have come to expect from Old Dominion.”  The service center is located at 253 Gateway Drive in Ringgold, Ga. The facility serves a tri-state region, including East Tennessee (Chattanooga, Cleveland and Athens), North Georgia (Dalton, Rome and Calhoun) and parts of northeastern Alabama.
