Independent freight forwarders Members of both international networks will meet in Ho Chi Minh from 26th-28th September
Inscriptions for Freightcamp 2017 are now open for attending simultaneously the global meetings of the freight forwarders networks Pangea and Connecta. More than 150 freight forwarders from around the world will meet face to face in Ho Chi Minh from 26th to 28th September to make contacts and explore business opportunities during the joint event. Freightcamp 2017 will bring together the 6th Annual Meeting of Pangea (global network of independent freight forwarders with 180 Member over more than 90 countries) and the 2nd Annual Meeting of Connecta (network of IATA certified airfreight specialists with 125 Members in 50 countries). During 3 days, delegates will participate in conferences, face to face meetings and networking events, as well as getting to know the charms of Ho Chi Minh. The objective of Freightcamp 2017 is promote contacts amongst the members for developing mutual business and gain competitiveness against the multinationals by cooperating. In this respect, the members of Pangea are independent freight forwarders consolidated in their local markets that count with the principal certifications of the market such as IATA, FIATA, AEO and local entities. They stand out for their experience and specialization, which allows them to take part in international projects in cooperation with other Pangea members. For its part, Connecta is a specialized network for airfreight transport with agents that have great experience in the field, as well as certifications by IATA, CASS, CNS and local aviation authorities. Apart from general services, they offer specialised solutions as AoG, critical shipments, dangerous goods, live animals, perishables, etc. With Connecta, agents cooperate to access global business opportunities. The previous edition of Freightcamp was a great success and participants widely expressed, in a post-event survey, the new joint meeting format was beneficial. Furthermore, the expectation for this year’s event is high, since new synergies between members are flourishing, regular cooperation is well established and also promoted with new IT launches by both networks’ platforms. “We are delighted to return to Asia to celebrate this year’s global meeting as mature and solid group. Members face to face meetings have evolved to worthy sales discussions on present and potential business”, indicates Sarah Bidmead, Network Manager of the Pangea Group of Networks. “Again, the dealings and shipments within the network have raised up in the months following the last meeting, as the registered transaction show in our system”.
