Pilot Air Freight announced the promotion of Jim Ednie to District Manager of the company’s Philadelphia location. Ednie, who previously worked in the Philadelphia office, moves from Pilot’s Harrisburg station to oversee operations and drive sales for the much larger operation.

‘I am thrilled to return to Philadelphia and take on the challenge of running a larger, more complex operation in a familiar environment,’ says Ednie. ‘Pilot continues to expand, and this is a perfect opportunity to drive growth in a busy market.’

‘Jim has demonstrated his expertise and leadership in Harrisburg, and will be integral in driving the Philadelphia team to the next level of excellence,’ says Richard G. Phillips, Chairman, President, and CEO of Pilot Air Freight.

Prior to his new role as District Manager of Philadelphia, Ednie managed Pilot’s Harrisburg, Pa. station for five years. Under his guidance, the Harrisburg station recorded 11.3 percent increase in sales in 2005, and the staff has won several organizational awards for both sales and operational excellence. His expertise in air freight operations and his seven years of previous experience at the Philadelphia station as operations manager will be valuable assets in leading the station to new levels of success.
