Enter the lottery Wednesday, June 28
The Port of Long Beach is once again partnering with the Arts Council for Long Beach for the Port of Long Beach PHOTO Program, a free three-part photography learning experience for photographers of all skill levels.
The program consists of a welcome orientation with an introduction into camera basics facilitated by Port photographers, followed by a twilight shoot aboard a cruise through the Port. The program culminates with a gallery reception and exhibition in conjunction with Long Beach Arts Month in October, which is an annual celebration of local arts and culture. For the first time, the exhibit will be featured at the Long Beach Museum of Art.
Due to exceptionally high demand, participants will be selected through a lottery system and only first-time participants will be eligible. Entry into the lottery to participate in the free program will be open on Wednesday, June 28 from noon to 8 p.m. at polb.com/photoprogram.
A digital SLR camera is mandatory to participate and participants must be available to attend the orientation, tour and reception. Only people that are 18 years or older can participate in the program.
