Port Logistics Group, the nation’s leading provider of gateway logistics services, today announced an addition to its management team to support continued growth. James Armstrong joined the organization as Chief Operations Officer and will be based at the company’s City of Industry, CA Retail Distribution Campus. In this new role, Armstrong will be responsible for all West Coast gateway locations, including 3.4 million square feet of dedicated and multi-client warehouse space and regional trucking operations in Southern CA, and 600,000 square feet of warehousing space at the Seattle/Tacoma gateway. He brings more than 20 years of supply chain experience to Port Logistics Group, including executive leadership roles at TOTE Logistics, Inc., Yusen Logistics (Americas), Inc., and Maersk. Most recently as President of TOTE Logistics, Inc., Armstrong was responsible for the management and growth of all logistics activities for TOTE. Prior to joining TOTE, Armstrong served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Warehousing at Yusen Logistics (Americas), Inc. where he provided national transload, reverse logistics and general warehousing solutions to top U.S. retailers.
