Port Manatee has relaunched its website – at www.portmanatee.com – providing new features and enhanced navigability in a fresh format. “As part of our ongoing efforts to best serve business partners, tenants and our community, we are pleased to offer this contemporary, user-friendly website,” said Carlos Buqueras, Port Manatee’s executive director. “The new site makes it even easier to swiftly find everything one wants to know about Tampa Bay’s first port of call.” The enhanced site was introduced today at the monthly board meeting of the Manatee County Port Authority. The updated website features single-click information access, enhanced search capabilities and expanded staff listings, as well as such new elements as local weather data and a Google Maps tool. An all-new content management system improves site functionality and facilitates continued enhancements.  Located “Where Tampa Bay Meets the Gulf of Mexico,” Port Manatee is the closest U.S. deepwater seaport to the expanding Panama Canal, serving bulk, breakbulk, container, heavylift, project and general cargo customers. The port generates more than $2.3 billion in annual economic impact for the local community, while supporting more than 24,000 jobs regionally, without the benefit of ad-valorem taxes.
