SHANGHAI, China and ATLANTA - Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANH) today announced that PurCotton, the only high-end cotton products brand in China with a medical background, has selected Manhattan's Supply Chain Commerce Solutions to improve product availability and ensure a seamless service experience for customers across its expanding omni-channel retail operations. PurCotton, formed in 2009 as a subsidiary of Winner Medical Group, has rapidly evolved into the successful multi-brand, multichannel retail operation it is today offering consumers a wide range of cotton-based products through its network of 72 stores spread across 20 cities in China and via a strong online presence. PurCotton’s online offering extends well beyond its own dedicated website with products sold on many of the country’s leading ecommerce platforms including Tmall, jd.com and yhd.com. Furthermore, product lines are sold in more than 600 of China’s major commercial supermarkets, including the JUSCO and China Resources Vanguard chains. To meet the challenges posed by a complex mix of retail channels and to support the company’s rapid pace of growth, PurCotton chose Manhattan’s sophisticated Supply Chain Commerce Solution to enable new supply chain processes and maximize service levels to customers. According to PurCotton, “The goal is to improve the overall service offering, not just on the front end but the back end also, and no matter how customers choose to shop with us – in store and online. That means providing customers an instant view on product availability and ensuring our fulfillment processes are robust and flexible enough to get goods into the hands of consumers in a way that is convenient to them and profitable for the business.” “We already sell more than 4,000 product lines through our online and offline channels and we continue to expand our offering. Our biggest challenge is that we must have a complete view of network-wide inventory in order to best serve our customers. With Manhattan’s Supply Chain Commerce technology, we’ll have improved visibility of inventory and data across our supply chain operations. This will drive service level improvements for our customers and will streamline operational processes within our distribution centers.” PurCotton selected Manhattan’s solution based on the company’s extensive history serving the world’s leading retailers and its vision for the future of Supply Chain Commerce. Manhattan’s solution will be deployed at PurCotton’s regional distribution center (RDC) in Huanggang, Hubei Province and extended to other facilities at a later stage. Xiao Xu, Head of Sales, Manhattan Associates Greater China said: “PurCotton’s investment provides a strong foundation on which it can build long-term customer loyalty by offering a seamless service and fulfillment experience across channels. We look forward to working closely with the PurCotton team to enable margin enhancement through improved distribution efficiency and to drive top-line sales growth through raised service levels.”
