Purolator International announces the appointment of Jakub Kowalczyk as Branch Sales Manager for the Minneapolis/Twin Cities region.  Kowalczyk will be responsible for generating new sales as well as providing support for existing customers in the region. Kowalczyk brings nearly 15 years of sales and management experience working with manufacturing and logistics companies. According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Canada is the top export market for the state with $5.8 billion of goods traded in 2013.  Minnesota’s leading exported products include machinery, optics and medical instruments, electrical machinery, and vehicles.  The state’s manufactured exports were at a record high, with more than 8,600 businesses throughout Minnesota exported goods and services last year. “Minnesota is a strong market for trade with Canada.  Purolator International is well-positioned to expand in this region with Kowalczyk outside selling and leading the sales team to drive business performance,” said Betty Jo Rodey, District Sales Manager, Purolator International.  Most recently, Kowalczyk worked for Randstad, and was responsible for selling staffing services exclusively to manufacturing and logistics companies with revenues in excess of $10 million.  Prior to that, he was in a sales position for Paychex.  Kowalczyk also spent more than 10 years with UPS in direct sales and management.  During his tenure, Kowalczyk managed five business units, helped develop sales strategies, and achieved 150 percent of his sales and retention goals. “I am excited to join Purolator International and help grow our customer base in this important region,” said Kowalczyk.  “I’m confident that my experience in new business development and my passion for developing new ways to improve on sales processes will positively impact Purolator’s revenue growth and market share in the Twin Cities.”
