HANSA HEAVY LIFT has appointed Joerg Roehl to manage its business in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Joerg, who is HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and one of its three Group Managing Directors (MD) takes up the role as part of a strategic move. “The importance of the Asia Pacific region is increasing for us all of the time and we therefore decided to move Joerg Roehl to take personal charge of it,” said Roger Iliffe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), HANSA HEAVY LIFT. “Earlier in his career Joerg spent ten years in Asia where he held senior management roles with various blue chip companies in the industry and he knows the region very well.” Joerg, who has been with HANSA HEAVY LIFT since its foundation in 2011, is now based in Singapore, the company’s headquarters for APAC. “Asia Pacific is an important region for us and I am looking forward to working with our growing customer base and further developing our business there," added Joerg. Joerg replaces Jesper Traerup, who has run HANSA HEAVY LIFT’s APAC region for almost four years. “I would like to thank Jesper for his four years of loyal service and his many achievements over this time period,” said Roger. In addition to its Singapore APAC headquarters, HANSA HEAVY LIFT has offices in Shanghai/China, Perth/Australia, Sao Paulo/Brazil, Houston/USA and global headquarters in Hamburg/Germany.
