The winches weighed a total of 92,000 kilos. The largest two, each weighing 34,000 kilos, were 5.48m long and 3.58m high.
They were loaded aboard an An-124 aircraft in Singapore, using large mobile cranes and the aircraft's purpose-built loading ramp. They were then flown 7000km to Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan, via Kolkata (India) and Mary (Turkmenistan), for the Diyabekir Oilfield Development Project.
The flight was one of a programme of three for the same project.
