House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) released the following statement following the Senate bipartisan passage of legislation to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline project: “The Senate’s action today is another positive step towards final approval of the long-delayed Keystone pipeline.  This project, like so many similar pipeline projects approved and built before it, will help improve the Nation’s infrastructure, create good jobs for Americans, and enhance our nation’s energy security.  I look forward to sending a bill to the President as soon as possible.  The American people support Keystone, and they want their government to help improve our economy – not impede it.” Note: On January 9th, the House approved similar legislation (H.R. 3) approving the construction of the Keystone pipeline by a bipartisan vote of 266 to 153.
