New RailSync suite doubles customer base to 50 short line and regional railroads.

Railinc announced that over 50 railroads have implemented the company's new RailSync suite of services. Since this time last year, the number of RailSync users has more than doubled, making it the fastest-growing service of its kind in North America. Recent customers include 34 railroads that moved to Railinc from a competitor's product. RailSync was specifically designed for use by railroads of all sizes and provides an integrated solution for transportation management, interline data exchange, interline revenue settlement and car hire processing.

The Pickens Railway Company operating in South Carolina recently implemented RailSync Command and was extremely pleased with the transition process. Nancy Johnson, CFO of Pickens Railway, said: "We picked RailSync for its ease of use. Customer service and training are outstanding. We are becoming acquainted with all the new tools available to us and have found the revenue reports in Command to be especially useful."

"RailSync adoption has been so rapid because of the match between short line railroads' needs and the comprehensive strengths of our solution," said Richard Flynn, Railinc's Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "The functional modules of RailSync Command, Control, and Concur all deliver precisely what short line and regional railroads require to be successful: control over their operations that boost asset productivity, improve their customer service, and grow their revenues without layering on IT infrastructure and maintenance costs. RailSync users have seen the competitive product and continue to choose RailSync over our competitors. RailSync offers feature-rich services and data accuracy, which dramatically improves railroad operating efficiency and measurably saves our customers time and money."

Canada's Cando Contracting Ltd. implemented RailSync's Transportation Management System, Command. "RailSync Command offered Cando a full set of rail management tools, including Interline Data Exchange, Billing Management, and great reporting tools, saving us significant costs," said Guy Lobreau, Car Control Officer of Cando Contracting Ltd. "Managing car hire expenses is critical to our success," said Bev Chicoine, Office Manager of Kelowna Pacific Railway. "RailSync has the data accuracy we needed to ensure we're on top of those expenses. It's so easy to use, and I can see the value it will offer us in the future."
