Singapore Airlines, the world's second largest airline by market value, said air travel disruptions in Europe had resulted in S$40 million ($29.11 million) revenue loss from cargo and passenger operations.

The airline added in a statement that hotel accomodation, meals and other services provided to affected customers cost an additional S$10 million.

Singapore Airlines also said that it is returning to a full European flight schedule with immediate effect. (Reuters)
