The South Carolina Ports Authority continues to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Irma and related weather conditions. Based on current projections, all SCPA gate and yard operations will be open as normal on Monday, September 11. Charleston container gates will open at 0600. Empty yard operations may be impacted periodically during the day due to local weather conditions, but import and export container moves should not be impacted. Vessel operations may be impacted based on local conditions and U.S. Coast Guard actions, but this also has no impact on gate operations. Currently no vessels are scheduled to be worked on Monday. The safety of workers, facilities and cargo are our primary considerations.  Any changes to our operational posture will be communicated just as soon as they are known through Client Advisory (sign-up at www.scspa.com/advisories) and social media channels.
