Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, is celebrating 25 years of quality without question service from its Miami, Florida service center this fall. Originally opened for business in fall of 1989, the Miami service center, located at 5875 NW 72nd Ave., features 91 dock doors. Over its 25-year history, the center has increased from 20 associates to more than 140, about half of which are celebrating anniversaries of 10 years or more this year. Three employees are original associates that have been with the Miami service center since its opening in 1989 and are celebrating 25 years with the company. The Miami service center celebrated 25 years of service with its employees on Sept. 5 with an anniversary meal. Celebrations continued during an open house in October for the service center’s employees, family, friends and customers. “When Southeastern’s Miami service center opened 25 years ago, a different culture of trucking was instilled in south Florida through our professional drivers, state of the art equipment and quality without question service model,” said Mike Hembling, service center manager for Southeastern in Miami. “Since opening, Southeastern has expanded numerous times in the Miami market, growing from 20 to 91 doors and building loyal relationships with our customers over 25 years of operation.”
