Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, announces the opening of a relocated service center in Van Buren, Arkansas, near Fort Smith, in response to growing business in the region. The new facility, located at 323 Access Road in Van Buren, employs more than 35 people and features 39 dock doors. As shipments continue to grow in the region, this new service center will help Southeastern streamline efficiencies for customer shipments throughout Arkansas and the Sun Belt region. “By increasing capacity and improving delivery efficiency, the new Van Buren facility will help to increase Southeastern’s quality of service throughout the Sun Belt,” said Scott Lackie, service center manager for Southeastern Freight Lines in Van Buren. “Southeastern Freight Lines has served local markets in Arkansas with best-in-class performance for several years and we look forward to continuing quality service in the Fort Smith area for many years to come.” The relocated service center boasts many new sustainable features including motion detectable lighting and LED swing arm lighting. Another special feature of the new facility is its company logo display, for which the recognizable black eagle of Southeastern’s logo is built into the side of the service center building. The new service center will open and begin operations on Nov. 21.
