The Office of the Prime Minister of Canada issued the following read-outs after Prime Minister Trudeau’s bilateral meetings with Governors, held today in Providence, Rhode Island.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets with Governor of Kentucky Matthew Bevin

On the margins of his participation at the National Governors Association meeting, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Matthew Bevin, Governor of Kentucky.

The Prime Minister and the Governor discussed a range of Canada-Kentucky issues, including the shared importance of the North American Free Trade Agreement, the auto sector, aluminum and steel trade, as well as the benefit trade brings to both Canada and Kentucky.

Canada-Kentucky bilateral trade was valued at US$10.9 billion in 2016. Over 112,600 jobs in Kentucky depend on trade and investment with Canada.

On the margins of his participation at the National Governors Association meeting, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Scott Walker, Governor of Wisconsin.
