Washington, D.C. - The Subcommittee on Highways and Transit will hold a hearing next week to examine how the policy provisions of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act are improving the safety and reliability of the Nation’s roads. The Subcommittee will hear testimony from the administrations within the Department of Transportation responsible for implementing these provisions of the FAST Act, as well as the National Transportation Safety Board. This hearing of the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, chaired by U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO), is entitled, “FAST Act Implementation: Improving the Safety of the Nation’s Roads.” The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building. The Subcommittee will hear testimony from:

  • Mrs. Daphne Jefferson, Deputy Administrator, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
