TAM Airlines of Brazil has awarded its cargo handling contract to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) at Orlando International Airport.

The airline operates daily Airbus A330 passenger and cargo services between Orlando and Sao Paulo. Under the terms of the new contract, effective from November 21st 2008, WFS will provide cargo handling and customer services for TAM at the airport, including documentation management and processing, security screening and customs clearance.

The new agreement extends the business partnership between the two companies. WFS already provides cargo handling for TAM in Madrid, Spain.

John Gemmell, WFS's Senior VP Sales, North America, said: 'WFS is pleased to add TAM to the diverse list of international carriers it handles in North America and we look forward to expanding our relationship with the airline.'

WFS operates a 12,000 sq ft cargo centre in Orlando, where its customers also include Lufthansa Cargo, Virgin and Copa Airlines.
