London, UK - The WACO System, an exclusive global freight network for independent forwarders, has appointed three new members across the Americas and along the Silk Road. ITN Logistics is the new Canadian member, Trans Global Projects (TGP) is the new member for Azerbaijan, and ACE Logistics Bel has been appointed in Belarus. The three new members will be officially welcomed to the WACO family during the group’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Valencia, Spain this week. “The WACO System is proud to be the oldest independent network in the world, and we continue to grow our presence globally with the addition of local experts with a proven track record in the world’s most dynamic economies,” said Richard Charles, Executive Director, The WACO System. ITN is an independent global logistics provider and single source for all transportation and logistics requirements. “The ITN Group of companies is very much looking forward to joining The WACO System,” said Ian Kennedy, Managing Director of ITN Logistics. “We are excited to find new business partners but more importantly new friends.” TGP (Azerbaijan) offers a full range of services including Customs clearance, port handling, vessel agency, local transport and international transport by road, sea/river, and air. “We are delighted to be accepted as a member of the WACO network as the designated agent for Azerbaijan,” said Azer Aliyev, Regional Director, Trans Global Projects. “TGP looks forward to being a member of the WACO network and the opportunities it brings for us in Azerbaijan and globally, as part of this extensive network.” ACE Logistics Bel, was founded in 2011 and provides air, sea and road transport services, as well as various warehousing and other logistical solutions. “Having a good and reliable network is very important and is something we have long enjoyed through WACO,” said Ignas Puluikis, Managing Director, ACE Logistics Bel. “We are delighted to represent Belarus, a developing country with great potential that is at the crossroads of the European Union and the Russian Federation, and we look forward to working with our new partners in the network.” The WACO System includes 112 independent forwarders in 109 countries and holds two meetings a year facilitating hundreds of bilateral meetings for members to network and grow business. The AGM is taking place at Hotel Balneario Las Arenas in Valencia, Spain on 24-26 April 2017.
