Oliver Evans, Chief Cargo Officer, Swiss International Air Lines Ltd., and Enno Osinga, Senior Vice President Cargo, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, have been elected as the new Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).

They were formally elected at the Association's AGM, which took place following its 2013 Executive Summit in Dallas, hosted by Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Oliver and Enno will serve in the roles of Chairman and Vice Chairman for a two-year term.

Oliver, who has held the post of Vice Chairman for the last two years, succeeds Michael Steen, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc., who took over as TIACA Chairman in 2010.

Commenting on his new role, Oliver said: 'It is a great honor and pleasure for me to have been asked to lead TIACA and serve our membership and the air cargo industry. Under the leadership of Michael Steen, the Association has gone from strength to strength, and we are having very fruitful and open discussions with all partners in the industry, including FIATA, IATA, Cargo 2000 and the Global Shippers' Forum as well as with regulators and ICAO. My fervent wish is that we will together accelerate all common initiatives, while ensuring that whatever can be solved by any association on its own is handled accordingly, thereby ensuring focus and minimal bureaucracy.'

Enno Osinga added: 'TIACA is playing a key role in bringing all parts of the air cargo business together, and shaping the future for our industry. The Executive Summit in Dallas was one of the most dynamic meetings I have attended, with positive and constructive discussions on a variety of subjects affecting us all. As a Board member, I have been privileged to assist the development of TIACA in recent years. In my new role, I look forward to continuing building bridges within our industry."
